Activity to be carried out throughout the year, as long as weather conditions are favorable.

Cerro Minillas is a peak in the San Ramón mountain range in the Santiago Metropolitan Region, with an altitude of 2,467 meters above sea level. This hill is a popular challenge for lovers of trekking and mountaineering, being the southernmost peak of San Ramón mountain range. What makes it fascinating is its contrast and proximity to the Chilean capital.

Despite being so close to a large city, the climb offers an intense mountain experience. From its summit, you get a unique and unparalleled panoramic view of the immensity of the Santiago Valley and, at the same time, you can see the peaks of the Andes mountain range, such as Tupungato, Mesón Alto, San José Volcano, El Morado, among others.

The route has a total distance of 18 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1,680 meters, which is considered medium to high difficulty. Winter is the best time to climb it, as much of the route is covered in snow. In summer, however, you will need to carry between 3 and 4 liters of water, as it gets quite hot.

There is a wide variety of flora and fauna, and condors can usually be spotted at the summit.
