Activity to be carried out from May to October/November when terrain conditions are safest and weather conditions are favorable:
Cerro San Gabriel, which measures 3,125 meters, is an ideal mountain to start mountaineering. Use of crampons and ice axes is essential to reach its summit. No previous experience is necessary, but good physical condition is required.
From the summit, you can see spectacular views of the mountain range. The view is pristine and makes you feel calm. It's a challenge that leaves you feeling very satisfied. Climbing helps you disconnect from the city and breathe clean air. It's a place where the effort becomes a wonderful memory. Climb San Gabriel if you want a challenge that will reward you with spectacular views.
In total, there is a 1,770-meter elevation gain and a round trip of about 14 kilometers.
Technical Difficulty: Easy, no previous experience in the activity is necessary.
Physical Difficulty: High. Good physical condition is recommended for this activity, which is ideal for people who enjoy trekking or sports.
Requirements: Health according to activity. In case of illnesses such as asthma, diabetes, or others, you should carry your doctor-prescribed medication with you.
Responsibilities:
- No actions that jeopardize the safety of the participant or other participants will be carried out.
- Participants in the activity should wear comfortable clothing suitable for the activity. We recommend trekking pants or comfortable pants, long socks, a quick-dry long-sleeved shirt, and a warm jacket such as a down jacket, fleece, or similar.
- Do not consume alcohol or any narcotic drug before or during the activity.
- A medical form and risk acceptance letter must be completed.
