Piedra Romel

Piedra Romel is one of the most iconic climbing schools in El Manzano, located in the municipality of San José de Maipo, just one hour from Santiago. This place, with its volcanic tuff rock, is distinguished by its short and explosive routes, as well as offering excellent routes for beginners in a very welcoming environment next El Manzano river, so you can bring a swimsuit and take advantage of cooling off on hot days. To get there, just walk 10 minutes from the parking lot through a beautiful sclerophyllous forest, where you can admire majestic evergreen trees such as peumo, quillay, and litre.

Technical Difficulty: There are routes of varying difficulty, ranging from easy routes considered beginner-level with a grade of 5- to more difficult routes with grades of 5.12+.

Physical Difficulty: Easy, it's less than a 10-minute walk to the climbing area.

Requirements: Health according to activity. In case of illnesses such as asthma, diabetes, or others, you should carry your doctor-prescribed medication with you.

Responsibilities:

• No actions that jeopardize the safety of the participant or other participants will be carried out.
• Participants in the activity should wear comfortable clothing suitable for the activity. We recommend trekking pants or comfortable pants, a quick-dry shirt, swimsuit and a windbreaker or warm jacket in winter.
• Do not consume alcohol or any narcotic drug before or during the activity.
• A medical form and risk acceptance letter must be completed.
